Grabouw 4x4

On a warm autumn Saturday in May we decided to go check out Grabouw 4x4. We have been wanting to go for while but never got around to it. Minouw had other plans so I went with a friend in his Land Rover Defender 90. He will also be joining us on our Botswana trip in June.

The track is fairly easy especially the top loop. That said the views more than makeup for the track not being too difficult. There is however a white sand section on the lower route that has a super tricky part. You can take an escape route to avoid vehicle damage that can easily happen.

The whole route took us about 4 hours to complete and was great fun. It costs R150 per vehicle and you can buy permits from 9 am at the Grabouw Country Club.

If you would like to go follow the links below to their website as well as the Gia GPS recording I made of the track.
